Cremo moves in Switzerland

The second largest dairy in Switzerland, Cremo, will from now on have the responsibility for the operations of Genossenschaft Augstbordkäserei cheese dairy in Valais.

Augstbordkäserei processes around 4.8 million kilograms of milk per year, including the Walliser Raclette Cheese brand, which is bought by the dairy, brought to maturity in Siders and then sold under the Valdor International brand.

Augstbordkäserei and Cremo have begun to optimise the cheese business. By giving the production to Cremo, investments in the future can be made and the brand Valdor should be strengthened. Augstbordkäserei in turn can thus focus on its local sales operations.

In other Cremo news, the board of directors of Cremo AG has confirmed that Fédéric Métriller, who has acted as interim since March last year, will continue as director. When he joined the Swiss dairy group in 2006, Métriller led the Cremo site in Siders and was from 2014 appointed interim director there.
