Hundreds of job losses as Dairy Crest announces plant closures

UK &#8211, Dairy Crest, the UK’s largest milk processor, has announced a series of plant closures as part of its plan to improve efficiency and financial performance following the acquisition of Unigate’s dairy and cheese operations in July last year. Five plants are to close in total with the loss of nearly 800 jobs.
