Dutch companies Gist-brocades Dairy Ingredients Group and Het Kaasmerk have signed a distribution agreement for the marketing and sale of casein labels. The deal is valid worldwide but excludes the Netherlands.
Casein labels offer a simple means of complying with EU Directive 93/43 on hygiene and the traceability of cheeses. Casein labels are used to identify each individual cheese produced, as well as the production location, date of manufacture and the producer.
Casein labels distributed jointly under the Gist-brocades and Het Kaasmerk agreement will be marketed under the brand name Passport.
