The USAs Horizon Organic has purchased leading UK organic milk processor Rachels Dairy. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Rachels, which generated sales of E3.8 million in 1998, will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Horizon Organic Dairy, a newly formed operation. It will be headed up by British managing director Jeremy Deacon.
