Joseph Heler Cheese has rebranded as Heler Foods, marking the next chapter in the company’s journey from a single farmhouse cheesemaker to a leading multi-site food group with more than 500 colleagues, supplying customers in over 50 international markets.

The new name reflects the scale, ambition and capability the business has built across its growing portfolio, which now spans cheesemaking, cutting and packing, branding and innovation, ecommerce, international export, and health-led categories such as Eatlean Protein.

“Heler Foods brings everything we do under one family-driven identity,” said George Heler, CEO. “While our name has evolved, our ownership, values and commitment to quality remain exactly the same. This change recognises how far we’ve come – and the opportunities ahead.”

The Joseph Heler name will continue as a product brand, proudly rooted in the company’s cheesemaking heritage since 1957.

The wider Heler Foods Group now brings together:

  • Heler Foods Creamery (located in Nantwich, Cheshire)
  • Heler Foods Packing (located in Porthmadog, North Wales)
  • Lymn Bank Farm (located in Skegness, Lincolnshire)

Founded in 1957 near Nantwich, Cheshire, the business remains family owned and led by George Heler, the third generation of the Heler family. From its humble beginnings crafting cheese on the family farm, Heler Foods has grown into a trusted supplier to the UK’s major supermarkets, food manufacturers and export partners across more than 50 international markets – a testament to its enduring focus on quality and innovation.

Sarah Griffith, people director, added:

“This rebrand celebrates both our proud past and ambitious future. It reflects the culture and purpose that unite our people across every site – to give others the confidence to change and shape the future. We’re not just a family of cheesemakers anymore; we’re a family of changemakers.”

The rebrand follows a period of sustained growth and investment across the Group, with further category launches, site developments and strategic changes planned for 2026.

Heler Foods will launch its new branding, website and visual identity in December 2025, supported by internal and external campaigns designed to celebrate the company’s evolution and future direction.
