Cono Kaasmakers is acquiring the Dutch premium butter company Van de Koe. This move strengthens its position in the premium butter segment. It also expands the product portfolio with a distinctive brand that stands for craftsmanship, quality and traceability, the firm says.
Nothing is changing for customers and suppliers at this time. Existing agreements and deliveries will remain as they are. It is important to ensure continuity and to maintain relationships with care, Cono notes.
The cheese maker is integrating Van de Koe’s commercial operations into its own organisation. This will create opportunities for further growth, both in the Netherlands and internationally. Founder Roel Kramer will remain involved with Cono Kaasmakers.
Managing director Jerry Griep notes, “Van de Koe is a strong brand with a clear identity. It aligns with our approach: a focus on quality and craftsmanship. We see great opportunities to further grow the brand. And we’ll preserve what makes Van de Koe so special.”
