Royal A-ware announces the proposed acquisition of LaBan Foods. The acquisition is in line with the family-owned company’s strategy to further expand its product portfolio in order to serve its customers even better, according to A-ware.

It is continuing its strategy of further diversification and expanding its product portfolio to include butter (specialities). “With LaBan Foods, we are bringing specialist knowledge and a distinctive range of butter products in-house, enabling us to serve our customers even better and more comprehensively,” said Jan Anker, chairman of the board at Royal A-ware.

René Laban, CEO of LaBan Foods, sees many opportunities to realise LaBan Foods’ growth ambitions with the merger. “Through the proposed acquisition, we will become part of a major international player in the dairy market, enabling us to focus more on product innovation and to grow both in terms of product range and volum.”

The proposed acquisition is subject to approval by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) and has already been notified to the authority.
