Danone get a taste of India

Danone is gearing up to re-enter the Indian food sector, according to reports in India.

The French company sold its stake in Britannia, its joint venture with the Wadias Group, earlier this year.
According to a report in the Press Trust of India, Danone has received approval to operate in a number of areas, including mineral water, biscuits, cereals, dairy, baby food and medical nutrition products from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board.
Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee will give the final approval.
