More than 2,000 staff affected as Dairy Farmers of Britain enters receivership

Dairy Farmers of Britain has gone into receivership.

The agricultural milk cooperative was wound up on 3 June after Stephen Oldfield, David Kelly and Ian Green were appointed joint receivers.
The cooperative employs 2,200 staff at its sites in the South West, the Midlands and the North East. It has 1,800 farmer members across Great Brtain who supply more than 1 billion litres of milk to the food and drink industry. This comprises 10% of UK milk production.
