New deal for Muller milk and Coca-Cola
With distribution by Coca-Cola Israel from four depots in Romania, Muller Milk dairy products have been introduced this summer into Romanian and neighbouring Bulgarian markets.
The premium segment is being targeted first, with imports of yogurts and dairy drinks from Germany. The market volume for dairy products in Romania alone is put at some € 800 million annually, a total expected to rise rapidly to top the €1bn mark within a few years.
Muller also plans to start buying and processing Romanian milk in 2009, according to the dairy. This could be through the takeover of a local dairy or by developing a new dairy.
