One of Europe’s largest suppliers of UHT milk, dairy cooperative Milch-Union Hocheifel (MUH), ends a 40 year tradition this summer by branching out into ESL milk production for the first time.

MUH chairman Rainer Sievers says contracts have already been signed with major discounters and the sales target for this year is 30 million litres selling on the home market but also in Belgium, Luxemburg and France. MUH also announced new packaging for the ESL milk: Tetra-Edge cartons with their extra-large screwtop opening on a sloping top.
