Sheep milk chocolate in Austria

A series of world firsts in dairy confectionary is being established by Austrian company H&H Chocolademanufaktur: just two years ago it pioneered “Choco-Lina” organic goat milk chocolate with immediate success in Austria and strong export trade now established with neighbouring countries.

Now, H&H is scoring a similar success with lactose-free sheep milk chocolate under the same label.

The new wholemilk or bitter chocolate products are also guaranteed absolutely free from cow milk, emulsifiers, synthetic aroma and gluten. Lactose is removed from the sheep milk through the action of a natural enzyme beta-galactose. Recommended retail price for the 90g lactose-free bitter chocolate sheep milk tablet is €1. For the same price customers get a 100g tablet of the wholemilk version.
