Lockerbie Creamery, part of Milk Link’s The Cheese Company, the UK’s largest cheese manufacturer, triumphed at the Royal Highland Show and was awarded the title of ‘Supreme Champion’ for both its Mature Cheddar and its Salted Sweet Cream Butter.

The Mature Cheddar won Gold, was named ‘Best Scottish Cheddar’ and awarded the title of ‘Supreme Champion’, winning the Awhirk Perpetual Challenge Trophy for Best Cheese in Show. In addition, the Salted Sweet Cream Butter was named ‘Supreme Champion’ and awarded The Lovell and Christmas Trophy for Best Butter in Show.

Charlie Kennedy, Lockerbie Creamery’s general manager comments: “It is particularly pleasing that a ‘home-show’ reinforces our position as a leading dairy facility.” Lockerbie also took home five silver awards.
