Delamere Dairy adds Salt as MD
Delamere Dairy, a leading goats’ milk and speciality dairy in the UK, has announced that Ed Salt has been appointed as MD. After joining the business in 2004 as Sales Manager and moving to Commercial Director in 2007, Ed then became co-owner of Delamere Dairy in 2008.
Ed will oversee the company’s operations within the growing UK and global markets currently including Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, the Middle East, Singapore and Hong Kong. He takes over the role from former ioint managing directors, founders Roger and Liz Sutton who continue their day to day involvement in the company with Roger Sutton as chairman.
Delamere Dairy operates in a small but fast growing sector of the dairy market and Ed is keen to expand on Delamere’s current market position and extend its offerings into foodservice markets as well as exploring further export markets.
Salt comments: “I am delighted to be appointed MD. It’s a challenging time for all in the agricultural sector, but I am dedicated to build on the strong heritage of the Delamere Dairy brand and grow our offering in the UK as well as globally. Although still a niche sector, we are delighted to have seen a renewed interest in goats over the last few years as well as growing demand for other dairy alternatives such as Soya. My aim is to use our 27 years of experience and expertise to reach new markets both here and internationally.”
