Dannon enters retail market with restaurant in NY
The Dannon Company, French dairy giant Danone’s US subsidiary, has opened The Yogurt Culture Co. shop, a lunch and breakfast eatery in New York. The restaurant is offering small-batch premium yogurt paired with fruit purees and other toppings. The store also sells yogurt-infused sandwiches, muffins and salads (with yogurt-based dressings) as well as frozen yogurt for dessert. Dannon has four major manufacturing facilities around the US. However, the product sold in the store is made in small quantities nearby.
