Scanstar for CombiRound

Promens Food Packaging was awarded with a Scanstar at the Scanpack Fair 2012 in Gothenburg, Sweden, for its CombiRound environmentally friendly cup concept. The jury says, “CombiRound combines the properties of carton and plastic, which can easily be separated. This solution combines a new way of thermoforming plastic and carton cup converting by providing a new opportunity to reduce the use of fossil based materials by up to 50 per cent.”

Promens Stilling managing director Torben Aarris adds, “This award supports the idea that CombiRound is the packaging for the future and we look forward to seeing our new packaging on the food market.”

Scanstar is an annual packaging competition, begun in 1969 by the Scandinavian Packaging Association.
