Emmi sells Nutrifrais back to LRG

Projected export sales of Swiss yogurts and dairy desserts from the Geneva-based processor Nutrifrais have failed to meet targets set over three years ago when the country’s largest dairy Emmi bought a 60% share of Nutrifrais from its owners Laiteries Réunies Genéve (LRG). Emmi invested in new plant not only to develop exports but also to help establish a range of specialist regional dairy products. The company admits now that the expected profits did not materialise. Now Emmi is selling its share package back to LRG, although both parties agree that the search for market and logistic synergies will continue.
