Mac & Cheese on the Horizon

Horizon, a US organic dairy, has launched six Horizon Mac & Cheese products. These macaroni and cheese products mark an important step in the brand expanding outside of the dairy case, the company says. Available in organic and made with organic varieties, the products are regulated by the USDA’s national organic programme. The labels designate which are organic and which are made with organic. The organic varieties carry the USDA Organic Seal and contain at least 95% certified organic ingredients, while the rest are made with organic products and contain at least 70% certified organic ingredients. All are produced without genetically modified (GMO) ingredients and with Horizon organic cheese. There are several varieties: shells and white cheddar, macaroni and milk cheddar, pasta cows and mild cheddar. There is also a SuperMac version with 12 grams of protein per serving.
