Arla cuts jobs due to Russian ban

Dairy giant Arla Foods has cut 79 jobs due to Russia’s food imports ban and its resulting decision to stop making products for that market, according to Danish news sources. The strong growth in Russia for Arla products has meant the sudden stop has impacted production, the company sats. Around 30 of the 79 posts were temporary ones, however. Prior to the ban, Arla was on track to collect €160 million from the Russian side of the business this year.
