Tetra Pak acquires cheese mould maker

Tetra Pak has acquired Laude, manufacturer of plastic moulds used in hard and semi-hard cheese production. The acquisition will extend the availability of Laude products in the global market.

Tim High, executive vice president processing systems at Tetra Pak, says, “Laude has established a reputation for providing very high quality moulds and service to the cheese industry.  We are delighted to add Laude products to our already comprehensive portfolio, and offer even more competitive cheese lines with guaranteed performance.”

Auke Rienks, managing director of Laude, adds, “Our customers will continue to get market leading products and services from Laude. We see an exciting opportunity for international growth through Tetra Pak channels, particularly outside of Europe, where our focus has been in the past.”

Laude will form part of Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems. It will remain in its current location and will continue under the leadership of Auke Rienks and his existing management team.
