Competition authority OKs Fonterra/Nat Foods deal

AUSTRALIA – The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has said that it will not oppose Kiwi co-operative Fonterra’s proposed takeover of National Foods.

The news comes after the ACCC voiced concerns that a deal could stifle competition in the market for raw, fresh and flavoured milk in the west of Australia.
