Milchmann Willi debuts

Günther Felssner, chairman of the Bavarian Dairy Federation (LVBM), made clear at a recent general meeting that there are opportunities in the export market and described the commitment of the association to increase the export of Bavarian products.
As an example, he reported on the visit of a representative of the Iranian food industry after the country’s first contacts in the previous year.
The chairman noted the image of the milk sector is important. The industry has noticed that milk and milk products have come in for criticism. The role of neutral knowledge mediators and recognized milk experts is a unique feature of the LVBM, which allows the association to debate with consumers with doubts and to encourage milk and dairy products to form part of their balanced diet.
To get closer to the consumers, LVBM is launching a new figure on social media: Milchmann Willi.
“With Milchmann Willi, we would like to reach mainly non-agricultural people, who often live in urban areas. This target group is particularly at risk of becoming unsettled by myths of milk critics. He show them pictures of the milkland of Bavaria and regularly gives fitness and nutrition tips,” explains Felssner.
At the meeting, the association also heard from Richard David Precht, philosopher and publicist, who drew a broad line from the dietary methods of ancestors to the breeding of test tube steak.
