Daiqing Dairy trading suspended in Hong Kong

China-based Daiqing Dairy has had its trading suspended after its auditors quit, according to a report on The Star Online website. The dairy has a market value of EUR204 million. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu was named as an auditor in the company’s latest interim report. A series of accounting scandals at US-listed Chinese companies in 2011 has highlighted the risk of financial irregularities. Some auditors have faced class-action lawsuits from angry investors as a result.
