UK training company Verner Wheelock has added extra auditing courses this year in response to an increasing demand for auditing training.

The company will now offer back-to-back Lead Auditor training courses throughout October 2017 at its facilities in North Yorkshire, or in-house at customers’ own premises.

As of January, Verner Wheelock has trained approximately 200 people on its auditing skills, supplier auditing and lead auditor courses; all participants who took the FDQ-certificated examination achieved a pass rate or higher.

Alison Wheelock, managing director, says, “It’s really fantastic to have a 100% pass rate for auditing courses. 40% of delegates have achieved a pass with distinction, which means they have achieved a mark of 95% or more. The delegates now have the skills to perform their own audits effectively and with confidence, as well as being prepared for any third-party audit.”

“I really think the fact that all our auditing tutors are also active auditors within the food industry makes a big difference to the overall experience. It’s the same with all our other courses such as HACCP and Food Safety – all our tutors have practical hands-on industry experience.”

The next open auditing courses take place on 6-7 September (Auditing Skills), 8 September (Supplier Auditing) and 2-5 October (Lead Auditor).
