Mike Moore joins Fonterra

NEW ZEALAND – Co-operative dairy giant Fonterra has appointed former World Trade Organisation (WTO) director general Mike Moore as its senior counsellor on trade and global strategy.

Moore was director general of the WTO from September 1999 to August 2002 and is also a former president of New Zealand. With a political career spanning 27 years, Moore has also served as Minister of Overseas Trade and Tourism, Minister of External Relations and Trade, Deputy Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Fonterra has said that it expects to benefit from Moore’s strategic advice and draw on his experience, expertise and contacts with leading figures in the international trade community.
