Canadian cheese maker Saputo has appointed Dino Dello Sbarba as president and chief operating officer effective 1 April, while current president and CEO Lino Saputo Jr. will remain as CEO and vice-chairman.

Dello Sbarba started at Saputo in 1990 and has served in various management positions including as president and chief operating officer of its Canadian and US cheese divisions. Current senior vice-president Lorenzo Spinelli will move into the position of dairy products division. Meanwhile, Kai Bockmann has joined Saputo as head of the company’s international dairy products division.
