Carbonated milk drink gets school go ahead
USA – The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has given the go ahead for Mac Farms’ Emoo fizzy milk drink to be marketed in schools.
Since 1991, the USDA has banned the sale of flavoured, sweetened and carbonated products in schools.
Emoo, produced from semi-skimmed milk, is sweetened with fructose and already sold in US supermarkets in chocolate, blueberry, orange and bubblegum flavours.
