French dairy giant Danone’s US arm has opened a new research and development facility to accelerate the company’s growth in North America. The US$9m centre (EUR6.5m), based in White Plains, New York, has been built to increase collaboration between R&D, marketing and other departments. Dannon has also provided its suppliers with designated office space within the company’s headquarters in an effort to improve collaboration.

“By physically bringing the R&D team closer to other core business functions, we will foster greater collaboration to accelerate pursuit of our mission – to bring health through food to as many people as possible,” Albe Wendt, Danone’s vice president research and development in North America, says.
