Skimmed milk as effective as sports drink

The capacity to exercise again after recovery following rehydration with either skimmed milk or a commercially available sports drink is comparable, according to a recent study published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology.

The study also provided further evidence of skimmed milk’s superior ability to rehydrate the body effectively, and keep it in a positive fluid balance while it recovers after exercise.
