Danish Dairy Board moves closer to the EU
As of 1 September 2008, the Danish Dairy Board has appointed the present government adviser at the Danish EU representation in Brussels, Kirsten Holm Svendsen, 53, to lead the new business area. At the same time, Svendsen will join the management at the Danish Dairy Board.
The management will move from the Danish city of Aarhus to Brussels and is aimed at developing the Danish dairies’ effort on the international stage and of ensuring that this business area is moved closer to the political key players.
A division merger will strengthen and improve the Danish dairies’ performance on the international stage as cooperation with the political system in Brussels is an increasingly important part of everyday life to Danish organisations.
Svendsen replaces the Danish Dairy Board’s lobbyist and director of many years, Hans Bender, who will retire on 1 September 2008. The present policy director and head of policies, economics and research, Keld Winther Rasmussen, will take up a position at Arla Foods.
