Everybody screams ice cream

It is the depths of January and I am thinking about ice cream. More specifically, the Ice Cream Alliance’s Ice Cream Expo, being held in Harrogate next month. I have been writing a lot about cones, vans, insurance and equipment for ice cream operations. There is a lot to think about if you’re going to run a food operation, no matter how small.

Not for the first time, I marvel at the depth of expertise needed to run a small business in this country – you have to be a jack of all trades. This goes for everyone, no matter what type of business is being run. It is a challenge, but one that entrepreneurs of every stripe accept. Luckily for us, although not for my waistline when it comes to ice cream.
