Surprise cheese is welcome
Sometimes, it’s a question of building it, and then handing it out. I opened my door this morning to my usual two pints and a free 125g sample of Dairy Crest Cathedral City’s new spreadable cheese (see photo). Now, I confess I may have gone out and purchased it myself, but now here is a chance for me to try it and enjoy it. And then go out and buy bucketloads. It was a very pleasant surprise.
The advent of such cheddar permutations gladdens my heart. As we see more time-pressed consumers, cheese in varied formats spreadable, sliced, grated will become more in demand. A selection of favourite cheeses indifferent formats will encourage people to buy more. Snacking packages for children is a good way to introduce children to the delights of cheese, and households with small children probably are the biggest purchasers of cheese sticks and snacks. Now, I just need to get some free biscuits for cheese, and we are definitely onto
a winner!
