Hill named as new IDF president

Dr. Jeremy Hill was elected president of the International Dairy Federation at its General Assembly during the IDF World Dairy Summit, 4-8 November 2012. He is the director of research, science, technology and development at Fonterra Co-operative Group. He is replacing Richard Doyle of Canada.

Hill has been involved in the work of the IDF for more than 20 years and has experience in the management of large infrastructure and organizations and in the management of international dispersed teams, according to the IDF.

In his first address, Dr. Jeremy Hill outlined upcoming challenges, such as the globalisation of the industry and consolidation, along with changes in worldwide demand. He also noted other issues such as nutrition, food safety, food security and analytical methods.
