Danone signs dairy joint venture in Columbia

Groupe Danone has agreed to set up a joint venture to produce and distribute fresh dairy products in Colombia with local player Alqueria.

In a statement, the group said Alqueria is the leader in the Bogota region for dairy products. The annual per-capita consumption of dairy goods in Colombia is
just three kg. No financial details were disclosed.
