Groupe Danone buys out Japan venture partners

Groupe Danone has announced the acquisition of all shares in the Japanese joint venture Calpis Ajinomoto Danone (CAD).

The new organisation, which will operate under the name Danone Japan, will continue to work closely with Ajinomoto and Calpis.
The joint venture was established in 1980 between Ajinomoto and Danone and Calpis joined in 1993. Before all shares were transferred, Ajinomoto owned 20%, Calpis 30% and Danone 50%.
