Top UK dairy companies
The top eight UK dairies have seen sales increase by 34% over the past four years, with profits up by 53% and increases in staff levels of 24%, according to a new study by industry analysts Plimsoll Publishing.
The analysts see this as an indication that the UK dairy industry is showing shoots of recovery, revealing increased sales and staff, and improved profits for the eight elite. Named players include Yeo Valley Farms and Robert Wiseman & Sons.
However, in contrast, the other 42 have not seen any increase in sales or profits, with staffing levels dropping by 12% on average.
