Valio wins Chinese ‘green food’ label

FINLAND/CHINA – Valio has been granted a ‘grade A green food label’ by China’s Ministry of Agriculture.

The label is for product safety and environmentally sound production methods. The whole manufacturing process has to meet the regulations set for production environment and quality systems. In the dairy industry this means that the entire chain extending from farm to final product is inspected.

Although many Chinese companies already have the label, Valio is only the third foreign company in China to have gained it.
