Proliant and Trega announce joint venture
USA – Proliant has revealed it will be joining with Trega Foods to produce, sell and market whey protein isolates.
The venture offers benefits to both parties, combining Proliant’s sales, marketing, R&D and application research with Trega Foods’ manufacturing capabilities.
Proliant, who specialises in applied protein sciences for food, health, nutrition and biologicals, has 20 years experience with speciality protein ingredients.
Chris Snyder, executive vice-president for Proliant, said: “The venture is a way for Proliant’s dairy ingredients division to extend and build upon the success of our existing dairy protein business with Hilmar Cheese Company, offering additional dairy ingredients and exciting, new, proprietary manufacturing capabilities.”
