Danone denies Numico rumours

FRANCE – Danone has denied that it is in takeover talks with vitamin group Numico this week.

In a succinct company statement it said: “Danone denies having been or being currently in talks with Numico about acquiring Numico.” The company also reported its results for 2002 this week, with its fresh dairy products showing 9.4% like for like growth in 2002.
