Coolbrands to launch Weight Watchers ice creams for foodservice industry

USA/CANADA – Canada-based dairy company Coolbrands is to launch a range of Weight Watchers ice creams for the foodservice industry.

At the head of the drive will be Weight Watchers Smart Ones Soft Ice Cream. Each serving of the fat-free ice cream contains one ‘point’ under the Weight Watchers dieting plan. It will be available in chocolate and vanilla flavours.

Other products in the range will include low fat ice cream sandwiches and ice cream sundaes, each with two Weight Watchers points. They will be manufactured at Coolbrands’ foodservice division at Russellville, Arkansas.

The products will be launched at Chicago’s National Restaurant Show on May 18 and will be accompanied by a national marketing campaign.
