Halo Top goes premium

Halo Top has launched a range of indulgent ice creams, shifting focus from low-calorie better-for-you treats.

The new Platinum Series range contains “all of the decadence, indulgence, and sweet chunks and swirls of traditional ice cream” but with “significantly” fewer calories than similar products sold under brands such as Ben & Jerry’s, Haagen- Dazs and Magnum, according to the brand’s website.

The line consists of three falvours in pint-sized tubs: Monster Cookie, Space Candy and Triple Chocolate Cake, each containing 680 to 690 calories per tub.

There are also three stick variants: Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel Swirl and Vanilla Crunch, with 160 to 180 calories each.

The company was acquired by Wells Enterprises Inc., from Eden Creamery LLC, in early September 2019.
