Paice challenges British dairy to set the pace
Jim Paice, the British Agriculture Minister (pictured), told the Dairy UK annual dinner audience in London that the dairy industry is “identifiably British.” However, he warns, “The discussions around Nocton have demonstrated how woeful is the British public’s understanding of how the industry is currently. It is widely perceived that the industry is in the doldrums, when in fact the UK is second only to Ireland within the European Union for milk production.”
