Ornua Ingredients Europe to close Ledbury, UK site

The consultation for the possible closure of the Ledbury, UK site has ended and Ornua Ingredients Europe has now announced the plant will be shutting down in May, according to the Hereford Times website. Around 115 employees will be affected.
The site produces formatted natural and processed cheeses for the food manufacturing, foodservice and fast-food sectors. The site is also home to Ornua Ingredients Europe’s centre of excellence for innovation, where the product development team has a full pilot plant and test kitchen facilities, according to Ornua Ingredients Europe.
Most of the plant’s facilities will be transferred to Nantwich in the UK and Avila, Spain.
