FrieslandCampina has officially closed its butter factory in Den Bosch, the Netherlands, which for decades processed tons of milk and produced two million packs of butter weekly. The closure follows the company’s 2023 decision to consolidate butter production in Lochem, where a new sustainable installation has been built.
The complete butter processing and packaging line from the Den Bosch facility will be sold in an online auction organised by Industrial Auctions. Equipment includes pasteurizers, cream separators, churns, packaging machines, palletizing robots, storage tanks, pumps, and laboratory gear. Everything needed for butter production from intake to final packaging. Buyers can bid on the full line or on individual machines. All lots will be professionally dismantled and prepared for transport.
A public viewing day will take place on 4 September, offering a final opportunity to see the machinery on-site before the auction. The auction closes on 10 September.
