One of Europe’s biggest cheese producers, the family company Hochland, has increased its co-operation with fast food chain McDonald’s.

The dairy, which has a turnover of over €1 billion per year, is already a supplier of cheese for the company’s restaurants throughout Germany.

Best-known for its marinated Patros white cheese product and Valbrie cheese, the nine-plant company will now also advertise McDonald’s on the packaging of a selection of its spreading and sliced cheese products over the autumn, offering coupons for free cheeseburgers at the restaurant’s outlets.
