New headquarters for Glanbia US
Date: 26/01/2012
Irish dairy firm Glanbia will establish new corporate headquaters for its US cheese operations in Twin Falls, Idaho at a cost of $15million (€11.6m).
Glanbia will open offices and an innovation centre in the city’s downtown. The company is expected to spend $15m on renovating the 35,000sq foot offices and 4,000sq foot innovation centre with work due to be completed by March 2013. The site will initially employ 100 staff. Glanbia US distributes 375,000 tonnes of cheese from Idaho to more than 30 countries each year. It currently operates three sites in Idaho, including the company’s cheese division and a nutritional products centre.
"As we have grown, and as needs in the cheese market change, it was essential to ensure our team is located under one roof and [continue to] meet the requirements of our customers and the marketplace,” Jeff Williams, Glanbia’s chief executive, comments.
