Butter ads for China
CHINA – Arla Foods has launched its first extensive advertising campaign for the Lurpak buuter brand in China.
The adverts are aimed at the gorwing number of affluent women in the country.
Commenting on the new, Arla’s overseas international product manager Dorthe Bach Jensen said: “We’re attempting to exploit our position as first mover as brands from France, New Zealand or Australia have yet to be marketed in China.” Shanghai will be the first city to see the adverts. If successful, the campaign will be rolled out to Beijing and other cities.
Lurpak was launched in the Chinese market in 2000. In China, Lurpak is almost twice as expensive as locally produced butter and butter from New Zealand.
