Sales of Milram double in a year
Milram, the market label for Germany’s largest dairy Nordmilch, has seen sales of its pre-packed self-service chesses double between 2008 and 2009.
These include slices of Burlander, full-flavoured Muritzer, mild Benjamin and piquant Sylter.
Sales of all these cheeses have been boosted throughout the country by heavy advertising and POS programmes. Nordmilch now wants to keep up the momentum of its cheese sales and is introducing a points system on cheese packs. Collecting a certain amount of points will allow customers to claim a range of colourful breakfast boards.
