In the business magazine trade, the autumn and springs of any year are usually quite busy with trade shows and exhibitions. For example, today at the office there are boxes and stands being loaded, with our own Sam Bull headed up to Birmingham in the UK. Bell Publishing is Stand 38 at the PPMA Total Show, please pop by and say hello and ask us about how we serve the various industries, ranging from tea and coffee to confectionery, can making, food and drink overall, and of course, our personal favourite, dairy. We offer magazines, websites, various methods of advertising both online and in print, and a selection of shows and exhibitions.
Of course, our biggest exhibition and the one we think you’ll really like as an industry, is the Dairy Industries Expo, being held at the end of next month at NAEC Stoneleigh. This is right near Coventry in the centre of the country, accessible by road, rail and air, with Birmingham Airport being 30 minutes away. We have quite a collection of equipment and services suppliers showcasing their wares at the show, along with a full roster of speakers, ranging from Dr Judith Bryans of Dairy UK, to Paddy Duggan of Wrap, Tiphaine Aries of The Carbon Trust, and Michael Evers of the Niedax Group, Safe Food Factory. Lantra is also doing a panel on Wednesday 29 October that will see the panellists represent key areas within the agricultural industry: a prominent college leading the way in apprenticeships (Dan Karlsson of Plumpton College); a recruitment/ training company with strong links in the dairy industry (Paul Harris of REAL Success); and completing the trio will be a leading dairy producer (Karen Halton of Halton Farms) with a strong understanding of how continual training should be a key part of your business.
All a lot to look forward to, and hope to see you all while we’re out and about in the meantime.
