INTERNATIONAL – The International Dairy Federation (IDF) has published World Dairy Situation 2001, a 66 page bulletin which includes various data on milk production, consumption, demand and prices for the current year.

Country reports are provided as well as three papers which cover the WTO and the Indian dairy industry, the impact of liberalising world trade in dairy products and prospects for world dairy markets.

The IDF has also published two further bulletins -‘Mastitis newsletter’ and ‘Influence of food on major components of milk’. The latter also includes a report entitled ‘Nutrient removal practices in the dairy industry’.
